Description
Strip Detective is a set of 10 tests used to detect the presence of acid phosphatase (which occurs in high concentrations in semen).
The test is also referred to as a home infidelity test – it can be performed at home with complete discretion.
The simplicity and effectiveness of the test makes it used in many professional forensic laboratories throughout the world.
The test was produced in Poland.
The negative result gives you 100% confidence that your trace does not contain semen.
A positive test confirms that acid phosphatase is present in the tested material (it is present in very high concentrations in semen).

How to use it?
Performing a single test is extremely simple. In a nutshell, it involves wetting the test spot and applying a diagnostic stick. After just two minutes, the result can be read by comparing the stained colour of the stick to the scale provided by the manufacturer.

How it works?
The test works by identifying the activity of the enzyme acid phosphatase, which is present in high concentrations in semen (it may also be rarely present in some bacterias, deodorants and vaginal discharge – that is why you need to cinfirm it in certified laboratory). The presence of this enzyme causes the test strip to turn purple. However, it’s important to remember that acid phosphatase can also be present in certain other biological substances, meaning that in some cases, the test result may be positive despite the absence of semen. To unequivocally confirm the presence of human semen, the sample should be submitted to a specialized forensic laboratory, where an immunochromatographic test or molecular analysis will be performed, which will allow for the final identification of semen in the seized material. Previous use of the StripDetective test does not negatively impact the ability to perform a confirmatory test on the same sample.
